Food Drive

These staples provide the “base” of many inexpensive and healthy dinners for our women. Crossroads, Inc. helps women plan and cook simple meals they can rely on as they transition to independent living. We will be collecting the suggested item each month. Of course you can always donate one of the suggested foods any time of the year!

January: Coffee, Creamer & Sugar

Instant coffee, ground coffee, powdered coffee creamer, sugar, artificial sweeteners

February: Breakfast Cereal

non-sugared breakfast cereal, old-fashioned oats

March: Canned Chicken & Canned Tuna

canned chicken, canned tuna, canned salmon

April: Pasta

Pasta of all varieties, spaghetti, penne, etc.. Egg noodles

May: Canned Vegetables

any variety of canned vegetable: corn, peas, diced tomatoes, etc

June: Canned Fruit

Any variety of canned fruit, preferably packed in water or natural juices.

July: Salad Dressing

shelf-stable salad dressings such as Italian and other vinaigrette varieties – non-refrigerated ranch and ranch-style dressings

August: Rice

rice, long grain and quick cooking. -flavored rice mixes (Rice-a-Roni any variety) and couscous

September: Sauces

Spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, barbecue sauces and other pasta sauces.

October: Dessert Mixes

cake, brownie, cookie mixes and Jell-O

November: Powdered Drinks

lemonade, iced tea, Kool-Aid – sugar-free powdered drinks

December: Holiday Wrapping Supplies

wrapping paper, ribbons, tape and gift tags
